It seems the older I get, the more I realize that I do not know what my day will hold. I have learned to anticipate that from the time my alarm sounds in the morning to the time my light goes off at night, there are treasures for me from the hand of God. It may come in the form of a conversation, a song on the radio, an interaction with a student, an observation of another teacher, or, most likely, in the moments of solitude and quiet that I must choose. But He comes forth every day, unexpectedly.
In the same way, I get excited to see the names that are on my roster turn into relationships with some unique students, who will change me in ways unknown. As I am privileged to teach Bible to the tenth and twelfth graders at CDS. We are able to explore new ways of thinking and studying God's Word that can too often become boring or difficult to understand.
I see it this way...each day of study, discussion, journaling, etc...will be the possibility of opening another box...another treasure. God will reveal Himself, of that I am confident...if I were not, I would hang my hat and call it quits.
I will provide updates in here with thoughts or details to what we are working through. I hope it is helpful as my desire is for you to know better what we are doing and the heart behind it.
